The AMRC to Recruit Project Engineer
The Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre has recently advertised the role of Project Engineer, perfect for someone with a passion for engineering who is actively looking to use their skills in manufacturing to make an impact on UK productivity.
Closing on 18 July, this Grade 6 post (£27,116 to £31,406 per annum) offers the opportunity to work with some of the biggest names in engineering.
This role will focus on two things - electrical machines and the specialising manufacturing of coils. This role will be based within the electrification team at the AMRC in advancing the manufacture of electrical machines for the electrification of flight, on and off-highway vehicles, and renewable energy generation, and thus support the global transition to electrification.
This role is aimed at both recent graduates and applicants with relevant experience in a research or industrial environment. The team are looking for the applicant to have the following:
Knowledge of the manufacturing process for electrical machines.
Practical experience in the winding and forming of coils for electrical machines.
Effective communication skills, able to clearly communicate technical concepts with a variety of staff.
Experience of adapting own skills to new circumstances, including using past experience to improve the manufacturing process.
