The International Electrical Machines and Drives Conference (IEMDC) 2025 was held in Houston, Texas on the 18th - 21st of May. The conference featured 8 tutorials led by external experts, 20 thought-provoking technical sessions and 3 special sessions.
On Monday 19th of May, Dr Nick Simpson FEMM Hub Bristol lead presented during Special Session 2: Novel Materials and Additive Manufacturing Techniques to Improve the Performance Limits of Electrical Machines. FEMM Hub member Dr Luke Saunders from Newcastle University presented on Tuesday 20th of May during Oral Session 12: Thermal, Materials and Efficiency his research titled "Segmented Stators Offering Improved Thermal Performance and the Potential for Greater Power Density".
