Dr. Anna Ermakova, Research Associate in Additive Manufacturing of Electrical Machines and FEMM Hub member from the University of Bristol, has been interview by Alexandra da Fonte Martins of CWIEME Talks for International Women's Day.
Anna shares how additive manufacturing is revolutionising electrical machines for a net zero future. She discussed why she chose a career in engineering, her life changing experiences whilst studying in China where she was exposed to a lot of manufacturing methods and in time discovered lots of flaws in the methods of additive manufacturers.
Anna explained how addictive manufacturing relates to electrical machines, some of the advancements and how they impact industry playing a major role in energy transition. She also explains the challenges the team face and their current developments.
The team will be presenting to CWIEME in Berlin on 3rd-5th of June.
