2024 FEMM Hub Conference a Success!
On Wednesday the 20th of November the FEMM Hub brought together over 100 leading experts and innovators in the field of electrical machines at the IET Austin Court for their annual conference. FEMM Hub Director Professor Geraint Jewell opened the conference by sharing his technical highlights of the past year before introducing our 2024 Keynote Speaker Professor John Erkoyuncu from Cranfield University.
Professor Erkoyuncu presented "Digital Twinning: a through-life engineering perspective on emerging use cases, challenges and future directions" to a packed audience. The conference then proceeded through three different sessions - electrical machine manufacture, sustainable manufacture of electrical machines and emerging technologies. In addition to these sessions. we were joined by Dr Hadi Moztarzadeh, Head of Technology Trends at the Advanced Propulsion Centre who presented "E-motors value chains and manufacturing cost model: enabling a resilient supply chain and cross-sector collaboration".

The conference was an overwhelming success, with engaging presentations, insightful discussions, and active participation from attendees.
