Lucy Merritt is a Senior Project Manager at the National Manufacturing Insitute of Scotland (NMIS), operated by the University of Strathclyde. As a member of NMIS' Programme Management Office, she manages programmes that deliver advanced manufacturing research, develop innovative solutions for industry and contribute towards collaborative efforts with Government to make Scotland's manufacturing sector optimally competitive and equipped with the skills the future workforce requires.
Lucy is Strathclyde's programme manager for FEMM Hub.
Prior to her role with NMIS, Lucy worked as Senior Principal at The University of Queensland in Australia, where she managed government-industry-research partnerships to secure funding sources with a focus on political relations and the defence and energy transitions sectors. Earlier in her career, Lucy worked as a campaign manager and multilateral advisor in the diplomacy and UN sector, and as an operational exports programme specialist and project manager in agricultural trade.
