Jason David Ede received the MEng and PhD degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Sheffield, UK in 1997 and 2004 respectively. Since 2002, he has been a researcher within the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the University of Sheffield where he has predominantly been working as a senior researcher in the Rolls-Royce University Technology Centre in Advanced Electrical Machines.
He obtained Chartered Engineer status in 2014, and he was elevated to Senior Member of the IEEE in November 2019. His current research interests include permanent magnet electrical machines and electromagnetic modelling.
