FEMM Hub Celebrates Promotion

We are happy to share the promotion of FEMM Hub member Hassan Ghadbeigi to Professor of Mechanical Engineering/Structural Integrity in Manufacturing at the University of Sheffield.  Professor Ghadbeigi first joined the University over 18 years ago to start his PhD titled "Experimental investigation and numerical modelling of mechanics of cutting in metal machining operations" which he was awarded in 2010. 

Since then Professor Ghadbeigi’s research interests have covered a wide range of multidisciplinary topics on mechanics of materials deformation and damage in manufacturing processes such as machining and forming as well as manufacturing induced effects on the structural integrity and functional performance of produced parts. Within the FEMM Hub, Professor Ghadbeigi leads the project titled "Cut edge characterisation in advanced electrical alloy". If you would like more information about this project please get in touch!
