Dr Daniele De Gaetano (Member, IEEE) received the bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Napoli “Federico II”, Napoli, Italy, in 2016, the master’s degree in Electrical Energy Engineering from the University of Padova, Padova, Italy, in 2018, and the Ph.D degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Nottingham, Nottingham, U.K., in 2022, respectively.

He joined the University of Sheffield within the department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering in 2022 as a research associate in electrical machine bearing currents. Currently, he is a research engineer in electrical machines within the University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC). His research interests include bearing currents, electrical machine high frequency analysis, multiphase electrical machines, high speed electrical machines for aerospace propulsion, laser cutting of steel laminations, and characterisation of ferromagnetic materials.
